Pastoral Conference
The Pastoral Conference held at Emanuel University of Oradea last year had the theme “Consecration and Passion in Ministry”. For most, “consecration” and “passion” seem to be states that describe a human effort. And yet, these were experiences that Jesus had when He came into the world to save us: renouncing heaven and commitment to those who are lost even until death, the “zeal” that consumed Him for the purity of the House of God.
We would not need such a conference if we could produce consecration and passion through our powers. Only the presence of God makes their presence possible, by grace, for those who desire them with all their hearts. These and many others are very deep pastoral troubles, and the annual pastoral conference provides access to pastors with many years of experience in ministry and to bibliographic resources of great value, even book launches.
Within the program, issues of interest for today’s workers are presented and interactively discussed: PREACHING, ETHICS, COUNSELING and PASTORAL. On top of the discussed topics, the event is a good opportunity to WORSHIP God, to be encouraged and experience spiritual uplifting. It also provides opportunities for MENTORING and creating RELATIONSHIPS with other pastors across the country.
